The Methodist church hosted another successful Barrow show in September.
There were lots of entries from children, plenty of jams, cakes, etc and some people even managed long runner beans. Everyone who took part had great fun, though not everyone went home with a prize. The photo features a tromboncino gourd (so-called because it looks like a trombone) and a crock-neck squash. They are delicious to eat. They are being held by a carrot man supported by Tilly Yates, one of the organisers of the show.
