We have entered Barrow in Bloom this year and are looking forward to seeing the beautiful floral displays around the village. Community involvement and activities are also taken into account by the judges. The judges will be visiting during the first two weeks of July, a special route has been planned out for the day. Good Luck Barrow in Bloom! |

We would like to welcome and introduce our 3 new Councillors, Cllr Christine James, Cllr Stuart Hartle and Cllr Andrew Norris.
Christine James Barrow-upon-Soar was the village in which my husband and I chose to bring up our two daughters, when we moved to Leicestershire 28 years ago. I have seen how the village has developed over that time and now I am retired I want to give back to the community and work to ensure Barrow continues to evolve and progress, while remaining a lovely village in which to live and work. My hobbies include amateur gardening, sewing and spending time with my family. |

Stuart Hartle Barrow is a fantastic village to live in! It offers great facilities, local amenities, and transport links. I believe that a thriving local community is essential for fostering a harmonious village life. Residents should be given a voice, ensuring fairness and equality, so that Barrow Upon Soar can reach its full potential and serve the needs of all. Where issues affect village residents, solutions should be found so that the village is enhanced and continues to be progressive. As a new member of the Parish Council and a local resident, I look forward to participating in future meetings and sharing my expertise wherever needed. |
